We do not host any videos or images on our servers. All rights belong to their respective owners.
What we collect
- No accounts. We do not require sign-ups.
- No cookies except functional local settings stored in your browser (e.g., language/theme). These are stored via
localStorage, not server cookies. - No URL logging by the app. This application is built to avoid storing or saving submitted Reddit URLs in application logs or databases.
- No media storage. Videos are streamed to you; no video file is written to disk or cached by the application.
How downloads work
When you submit a public Reddit post link, the server fetches the post’s JSON metadata from Reddit and extracts the direct media URLs.
If the post uses separate audio/video tracks (DASH), the server may mux them using ffmpeg while streaming output directly to your device.
The server does not store the resulting file.
Analytics (optional placeholder)
The UI includes an analytics toggle placeholder that is OFF by default. In this template, no analytics SDK is loaded. If you later add analytics, only enable it after explicit user opt-in.
Third-party services
- Reddit: We request JSON metadata and media streams from Reddit’s servers.
- Google Fonts: The frontend loads the Inter font from Google Fonts (you may self-host if preferred).
